Look how far we’ve come together!
In a new video, Passive House Accelerator (PHA) shares the story of THE BANK LOFTS’ steady path from dream project toward cleaner, greener, more resilient living. Witnessing how far we have come since our ideas took root fills us with a renewed sense of gratitude for our team’s skill and commitment—and for the recognition and generous support of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
Just a little over a year ago, The Bank Lofts—spearheaded by owners/developers Faith E. Gay and Francesca Zambello of locally–based Dooalot, LLC—was named one of 10 regionally significant building projects to share $12 million in support as part of New York State's Carbon Neutral Community Economic Development program. River Architects' Phius Certified design—being expertly brought to life by Simple Integrity—also won statewide recognition and support in Round 4 of NYSERDA's Buildings of Excellence competition (early stage design component), which honors plans for multifamily buildings that model clean, comfortable, and resilient low- or no-carbon solutions straight from the drawing board.
Together, we hope to shine a light on the exciting opportunities that already exist to restore beauty, economic vitality, and community spirit to historic Main Streets and antique buildings like ours throughout our village, county, state, and country.
